Drawalks – Liesje van den Berk

het Glazen Huis
April 9 till May 7, 2017
liesje drawalks
Drawalks by Liesje van den Berk explores the experience of the environment in time and space by means of image, drawing, sound, light and movement. During 3 weeks the artists works in het Glazen Huis to develop a contstant changing exhibition of the work process and development of the performance Lichtlijnen (Light Lines). The perception of the Amstelpark forms the inspiration of both exhibition and performance. The sound of the environment is translate in staccato lines, the moving of the light over a landscape in a melodic music piece. The artist explores ways in which the perception and experience of the Amstelpark can be translated to a physical drawin movement which leaves an image on the paper. Drawing on a 2 dimensional plane is translated to a rawing performance in relation to space, sound, the performers and the audience.
