Indonesian coffee tasting / Finissage Kebun Sejarah

Sunday 28th November, 2021 from 15.00 – 18.00h
Finissage of Kebun Sejarah with lecture and Coffee tasting

As the final culinary part of the Kebun Sejarah exhibition, we will be hosting a special coffee event ngopi dulu (going for a coffee) on Sunday, 28 November 2021. The afternoon addresses the growing Indonesian barista culture in which coffee bars are emerging everywhere serving regional coffees.

We are exploring ways to invite baristas from different countries. In addition to an Indonesian barista and various coffee beans from different Indonesian islands, we are thinking of inviting Ethiopian coffee specialist Kaffa Coffee with Ethiopian coffee ceremony, Vietnamese drip, Turkish ibrik coffee or coffee from Guatemala. The finissage will probably also include a lecture by a historian on the ‘Columbian Exchange.’

Detailed information about this finissage will follow shortly. See also the pages about the sambal tasting on Sunday 31 October 2021 and the Kebun Sejarah cooking workshops for children on Thursday 21 October 2021.
