June 15 – July 20, 2020 Linda Molenaar is artist in residence at Zone2Source. During that time she works from Monday to Friday in the Orangerie, the beautiful plant greenhouse opposite the Rietveldhuis / Zone2Source office. Zone2Source is delighted to be able to use the Orangerie again this summer and to have Linda here as an artist in residence. She will use the space until mid july, from then on it will be used in the Exploded View exhibition. In 2017 Linda performed her work Zwaanhals in the Amstelpark, and also showed her work The Meal in Het Glazen Huis, in 1997 as part of New Dutch Sculptors. Also have a look at her work Tree Pose below. This year Linda received an individual grant from the Gottlieb Foundation in the USA.
My work plan consists of continuing my research into the “Stillness” in many ways. The Amstelpark is an ideal place for this research. The freedom, space and focused concentration that I experience then have repercussions in my work, a productive climate is created in which I can surprise myself and finish my studies within a certain period. This research grows during the period and will be displayed visibly for the public in the orangerie or for experience in the park itself.
During the day Linda is hard at work, but she invites you to come after 4:00 pm and view (the progress of) her work. Friday July 17 between 4 and 7 special open house
