This Saturday 15th November from 13 – 16 hrs the 2nd School for MultiSpecies Knowledges will hold their first public session. Please feel welcome to join our conversation with the Amstelpark! We will use all of our senses, walk, sit-in and nongkrong together with the more-than-human. This is an open, ongoing process where you can step in and out at any time. Our process can be followed at our ‘denkraam’ at the Rietveld House where nettle soup from the park will be served.
About 2nd School for MultiSpecies Knowledges
From October to March Zone2Source, in collaboration with Irina Shapiro (expert on alternative pedagogies in the field of art and design education), is running the 2nd School for MultiSpecies Knowledges. The School for MultiSpecies Knowledges invites practitioners in the field of artistic research and art education to activate their practices in a situational exploration at Zone2Source, a testing ground for art and ecology in Amsterdam’s Amstelpark.
Based on proposals submitted via an open call we selected a learning community of 7 participants – Marjolijn Boterenbrood, Junying Wu, Christine Hvidt, Bethany Copsey, Natascha Hagenbeek, Lea Novi, Mariken Overdijk & Astarti Athanasiadou – who are meeting weekly in the Amstelpark seeking to reflect on and practice learning principles that enable transformative shifts towards relational ways of belonging in a multispecies city.
