Artists Floris Schönfeld and Stef Veldhuis will engage in a conversation with invited guests about the relationships between the biosphere and the technosphere, how underground roots and data cables are intertwined with one another and with human existence, and about the relationships between art and the non-human actors with whom they collaborate. Guest speakers will be announced at a later date.

 

About Floris Schönfeld:

Floris Schönfeld is a visual artist currently based in Amsterdam. The focus of his work in the last years has been the relationship between fiction and belief. In his work he is constantly trying to find the line between defining his context and being defined by it. In his work he is interested in the perspectives of other living beings, exploring our human ability to get close to the experiences of others. Read more here.

About Stef Veldhuis:

Stef Veldhuis is an artist working at the intersection of art, ecology, and science. His installations provide space for transformative processes driven by more-than-human actors. This creates a continuous interplay in which anthropogenic constructs mutate based on biological systems. Read more here.
