Finissage ‘to admit a subtle thread’ with listening session

Nene Moné/ Camila Gueneau de Mussy

On Sunday 30 November, the exhibition to admit a subtle thread, curated by guest curator Camila Gueneau de Mussy, will close with a beautiful listening session to the work ‘Weaving echoes of care in the wake of extraction’ by Nene Moné. Between 15:00 and 17:00 we will welcome you at Glazen Huis.

Following autumn’s call, we invite you to encounter the artworks from an audio experience in this warm closing event. Opening space for attentive listening, we will spend time with the voices that are part of the exhibition. The work of Nene Moné is the special guest for this afternoon, with a sound piece that weaves the complexities and resistence of territories affected by extractivism. The exhibition curator, Camila Gueneau de Mussy will read to accompany the work.

In ‘Weaving echoes of care in the wake of extraction’ Moné conjures an original soundscape reflecting the ongoing struggles in a land of vitality and spirit, where native forests and waters are being seized and polluted, yet nature continues to resist and thrive.

Moreover this day will have extra meaning as 30 November is also Remembrance Day for Lost Species. We take the chance to explore the stories of extinct and critically endangered species, cultures, lifeways, and ecological communities.
