Interview with Alice Smits for the Theaterkrant

In an interview in January of this year, Zone2Source director Alice Smits explains that her activism stems from a lack of fundamental change within the art world. ‘We keep talking about ‘new narratives’. We talk in theaters and at conferences about ‘post-anthropocentrism’ and ‘multi-species justice’, but how do you apply that? We need to bring theory and action together.’ Alice believes that artists, including performers, possess the power to shape that transformation.
