Queering Nature by Melanie Bonajo

27th July 2020
Online lecture from het Glazen Huis organised by Queer Currents

The 2019 surge in eco-activism was spearheaded not just by Greta Thunberg but by queer communities. Melanie Bonajo and quests showcase and discuss the intersectionality and power dynamics between queerness, greenness, ecocide and homophobia.
Melanie Bonajo is a Dutch artist working with film, performance, installations, music, event organizing, and photography. Her works address themes of eroding intimacy and isolation in an increasingly sterile, technological world.
