Smart Hybrid Forms debate

Friday January 20, 4 – 7 PM, het Glazen Huis, Amstelpark

Smart Hybrid Forms is the result of two years of research by artists Špela Petrič and Christiaan Zwanikken, and scientist Eda Yilmaz into plant machines. Researcher Alice Smits investigated their practice and interaction. Smart Hybrid Forms is a combined NWO – SIA funded art-science collaboration of cultural and knowledge institutions to undertake a multifaceted research into the interaction of plants and machines as well as the practice of transdisciplinary research. The research has moved between institutes, while sharing processes and results with the public in various programs. During this closing event, the artists, scientists and project partners will enter into a debate with each other and the public reflecting on their research and installations that the artists have developed and on the emerging field where art and science meet.

With Michel van Dartel (director V2_Lab for the Unstable Media), Lucas Evers (Head of Program, Waag Future Lab), Raoul Frese (assistent professor department of physics and astronomy, Vrije Universiteit),  Špela Petrič (artist),  Patricia de Vries (lector LAPS Rietveld Academie), Alice Smits (director Zone2Source), Eda Yilmaz (postdoctoral researcher physics and astronomy Vrije Universiteit), and Christiaan Zwanikken (artist)
