Join us on Friday July 5 at 17:00 for the opening of Otterdam, the new artist garden by Theun Karelse.
With Otterdam, artist Theun Karelse explores what the new (urban) ecology and water management of Amsterdam may look like now that the otter, after half a century of absence, has returned to the city. He introduces a design in the form of “floating allotments” that provide a livable city for the otter, humans and nature. On Friday 5 July we will open Otterdam from 5pm-7pm, together with the artist. Theun will regularly work on water gardening at the pond of the Amstelpark and participate in upcoming workshops.
