What exactly do we mean when we use the word landscape? How can sonic artistic research contribute to new understandings of the term? And how can the act of listening foster a more embodied, relational, and reciprocal connectivity to our environment? These were some of the central questions to Polyphonic Landscapes (2022-24), developed by Zone2Source in collaboration with Artez Professorship Theory in the Arts.

On Artez’s research platform APRIA, the results of the Polyphonic Landscapes research programme, developed in 2023 by Zone2Source in collaboration with Artez Professorship Theory in the Arts, were recently published. Other research results from the participating artists were presented in the Polyphonic Landscapes exhibition at Zone2Source in 2023.
