Beyond the Bubble Selected for Round Two of the Artistic & Design Research for Immersive Experiences Scheme

We are pleased to announce that our application, Beyond the Bubble—a consortium of makers, ecological institutes, and universities—has been selected for the second round of the Artistic & Design Research for Immersive Experiences scheme from the Stimuleringsfonds and CIIIC. Beyond the Bubble operates at the intersection of immersive experience (IX), ecology, and art. A cooperative of makers takes a central position and will investigate how IX enables people to perceive the perspective of more-than-human organisms and experience ecological empathy. For each theme, working groups of makers and researchers are formed to develop immersive experiences for a broad audience through fieldwork, artistic research, and practical testing.
