Unfortunately, as of this week, Ronald van der Meijs’ work Odoshi Cloud Sequence is no longer in the Amstelpark pond. The work was installed by Ronald in collaboration with Zone2Source in July 2020. Recently, the work, which makes subtle sounds under the influence of sun, wind and clouds, suffered from the loud noise of the fountain, which has been turned back on since last fall. Despite Zone2Source’s requests to the municipality, they were unwilling to adjust the times the fountain sprays. Odoshi Cloud Sequence is a beautiful work and we are sad that the work is no longer in the pond. We know among our tours and contacts with park visitors that the work had many fans and inspired people.
