Thursday 9 September, 2021 Lex ter Braak will present his book Levensvormen, published by Van Oorschot, in the Orangerie in the Amstelpark. The book launch will include short presentations by the poet K.Michel and fiction author Gustaaf Peek. The presentation will be held in Dutch.
The presentation is a cooperation between publisher Van Oorschot and Zone2Source, the art institution with (in Lex’s own words) an idiosyncratic program for The Glass House and the Orangerie in the park. The book presentation is also the start of Lex’s short working period in the Orangerie as an artist-in-residence.
Lex ter Braak welcomes everyone, admission is free.
About the author
Lex ter Braak is an artist, writer and former director of the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. Before that he was director of the Fund for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture in Amsterdam and the Vleeshal in Middelburg. He exhibited at the beginning of 2020 with his exhibition The Alphabet of Lost Order in New Dakota. Ter Braak regularly writes about literature and the visual arts.
