We invite the people of Amsterdam and the surrounding area to celebrate together that it is Christmas time, that we are together and that the earth carries and nourishes us. We celebrate this with fire, chocolate milk and an Earth ritual. People are invited to bring a handful of soil*. Earth from a place where they feel connected to the Earth. Everyone is welcome.
During the 12 holy nights, between Christmas and Epiphany, the earth is at its quietest. A period of stillness, peace and envelopment. The moment to connect with the Earth below us. The Earth that feeds us, carries us and gives us a place.
The earth* that people take with them becomes part of the Earth ritual during the darkest time of the year. CELEBRATE THE EARTH is organised by Circus Andersom at Zone2Source in the Glass House in the Amstelpark.
Bring a handful of earth from a place you love, participate in our Earth ritual and drink hot chocolate together by the fire.
